The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced $11.5 million in federal incentives will be available beginning this summer for farmers and forest landowners growing and harvesting biomass for renewable energy. The funding provided through the Biomass Crop Assistance Program (BCAP) provides assistance to establish and maintain energy crops or those who harvest and deliver forest or agricultural residues to a qualified energy facility.
